It is my belief that our experiences shape who we are, how we think, and what we do. I also truly believe that, when these experiences result in perceived negative outcomes, we can all benefit from the processing of these reactions within a trusted, unbiased therapeutic relationship. It is my goal, as a therapist, to offer my clients a safe environment in which they are able to explore, discuss, and modify their own challenges, beliefs, and reactions. It is my passion to help others realize their potential and achieve inner peace and psychological wellness through supportive therapy.
Approach to Therapy
As a therapist, I believe that my role is to support and empower my clients through difficulties and changes in their lives. I draw from several psychological schools of thought when treating my clients, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, therapy through play, therapy through art, mindfulness techniques and the education and exploration of healthy coping strategies. Through the development of an individualized plan for treatment, my clients and I work together to derive powerful meaning from and effective solutions for their challenging experiences.
I provide individual and family therapy for children and adolescents ages 6-18. I also provide individual and family therapy for adults within the general population.
I earned my Master of Education degree in Community Counseling from the University of Oklahoma in 2013. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. I began working as a therapist at a non-profit agency in 2013, and I began working in private practice in 2015.
